Senhora do Monte viewpoint

Senhora do Monte viewpoint is among the Senhora do Monte churchyard. It can be found in the most significant point of Graca, a short walk from Rua da Senhora do Monte, and it has the highest point in the city with its beautiful view from the top.

Aside from its height, there is a Tagus River estuary and Sao Jorge castle around this viewpoint where you can enjoy yourself if you don’t want to be surrounded by many tourists and take good pictures.

Ribeira da Naus

Ribeira das Naus can be found between Cais do Sodre and Comercio squares, a beautiful spot that is appreciated among the tourists and the locals.
The sunset in this place is picture-perfect with a bridge, ferries, the Cristo Rey statue, and sailing boats across the Tagus River to design a beautiful background for all your pictures.

Our suggestion for you is to get there early to relax in one of the deck chairs next to the Ribeira wall or sit in front of the bridge while enjoying a Portuguese wine ordered at one of the shops with a unique view at your front.

Parque Eduardo VII

Parque Eduardo VII

If you a student in Lisbon, and your hostel or apartment is located in the Marques de Pombal area, you should know the Parque Eduardo VII. It is the biggest park in Lisbon, to see a beautiful place, Sunrise or Sunset in the city.

There are 3 greenhouses in this park, one with a wooden cover located in a quarry. The other two are traditional greenhouses made of glass ceilings with different species and unique plants with different activities to do and enjoy.

Cais do Ginjal

As you tour around Lisbon, we suggest taking a ferryboat to Cacilhas on the south bank of Tagus River, which is a 10 minutes boat journey and a 10 minutes’ walk to get to a beautiful place called Cais do Ginjal, which also have the best view of the sunset and Lisbon city according to our choice.

The city also offers the best refreshment in terms of the restaurants and the bars where you can enjoy different Portuguese dishes and local drinks while waiting for the sunset. It’s hard to describe the best restaurants in the city because they all offer the best customer service. However, we recommend Atira-te so Rio and Ponto Final – one of the places to have the best view of the Sunset while enjoying your delicious delicacies.

Santa Catarina viewpoint

The vicinity of Santa Catarina, which shares a border with Bairro Alto, is full of beautiful houses design in pastel colors. This area is famous because of the Miradouro de Santa Catarina, one of the best places to watch the sunset.

The atmosphere of this area is lovely and magical not only because of the sunset but also the live music, the view from the rooftops of the area, and a fantastic view over the Tagus estuary.

The statue of Adamastor, a mythical sea monster

The Camoes designed this statue to represent the cable feared by the Portuguese sailors, which all tourists and locals notice. Now, the Northwind has stopped being a feared place to a loving spot to watch the sunrise and Sunset.

Graça Viewpoint

Enthralling is one of the best words you can use to describe the Graca viewpoint. Especially for those who take part in the Downtown Mouraria food and cultural walking tour.

The fun here is to be around to say goodbye to the sunset as it goes down. Beside the Viewpoint is a shop with coffee, snacks, and drinks to quench our throat and toast to another beautiful day in Lisbon. For dinner, we suggest going to Graca 77 to enjoy Portuguese vegan food, Piteu da Graca, and all Portuguese cuisine just for you.

Portas do Sol Belvedere

Leaving the streets of Alfama from the Portas do Sol Square, the Belvedere share an exceptional view from the Southern face of Castle Hill. You can also see the National pantheon, Tagus, the Church of Saint Vincent, and the beautiful sunsets from the rooftops of the houses in this area which can make you love Lisbon more.

São Jorge Castle

Parque Tejo

If you like exercising, The Parque Tejo is an excellent place to enjoy yourself while watching the sunset. It is one of the most amazing places to behold the wonders of nature.
